Together, they transformed the profound verses in Supreme Master Ching Hai’s Silent Tears into a musical sensation that takes listeners across six continents. As MTV noted, the composers are “titans in their musical fields” with 6-time Grammy winner & 2-time Oscar nominee Jorge Calandrelli (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), 2-time Oscar winner Al Kasha (The Poseidon Adventure), Emmy winner Doug Katsaros (Footloose), 2-time Grammy winner & 3-time Oscar nominee Henry Krieger (Dreamgirls), Tony & Emmy winner Don Pippin (A Chorus Line), Grammy winner Nan Schwartz (Harry Potter), and Oscar and 2-time Grammy winner David Shire (Saturday Night Fever).

Loving the Silent Tears explores humanity’s universal search for inner peace through superb acting by Tony nominee Patti Cohenour (Joy), Luke Eberl (Pete), and Junior Case (Conductor). The phenomenal vocals, including those of music legends and international pop stars, and representing the world’s glorious cultures, are Camellia Abou-Odah (Arab), Flo Ankah (French), Grammy winner Black Uhuru (Jamaican), Emmy winner & Tony nominee Liz Callaway (Australian), Tony winner Debbie Gravitte (American), Hồ Quỳnh Hương (Aulacese), Mark Janicello (Italian), Brian Joo (Korean), Liel Kolet (Israeli), Tony winner Kiril Kulish (Russian), Katie McMahon (Irish), Heather Park (Korean), Fabiana Passoni (Brazilian), Siavash Shams (Persian), 2-time Grammy winner Jon Secada (Cuban), Kay Tse (Chinese), and Grammy winner Jody Watley (African).

Songs in the album are presented in full in both English as well as native languages. To make this possible, it required a large team of dedicated translators and ethnic composers to adapt the lyrics while ensuring the nuances and prosody would sound perfect in the foreign language. One of the ethnic composers, Brian Hunter, who is an Irish tenor and the president of the Musicians Club of New York, remarked about “Between the Master and I”: “This is just a beautiful song in Gaelic! It can also give a welcome reminder to many fast-paced lives that God is available to calm and soothe, at least while listening to this song!”

As a special bonus, included is the song “Talking to a Stone Buddha,” with music, lyrics, and vocals by the poet. This was a recording of Supreme Master Ching Hai's spontaneous singing during a gathering with Association members in Austria.
