Highlights

Q: How can we help others to overcome their addictions?
M: Oh! Like drugs and alcohol? Well, just encourage them if they want to stop.

Most people drink because they have been habituated. Also, they feel life is so boring that they keep drinking. And the more they drink, the less activity they have. The less activity, the more they're bored. And so it continues like the devil's circle. Now, they have to substitute this habit for something better.
Sit down and think back as far as you can remember: What made you happy before? Who made you feel good? What place triggered the most interest, the best feeling in your life? Go there, if possible. Meet those people that have common interests, and are good for you, that make you feel confident, make you feel loved, supported, that make you feel like a buddy. And do the things that you used to do or you wanted to do, that make you geel good, or that you have already tested and done it, and that make you feel good. You see? So go on for that thing, and busy yourself with all these interesting things, and interesting people and interesting places. And then you'll have no time to even think about alcohol.
