Under the efforts of Go Vegan Radio host Bob Linden, summer solstice was designated as “Vegan Earth Day” with the goal of raising public awareness of the vegan diet and encouraging people to join the rank of saving the Earth and protecting animals. |

On this first annual “Vegan Earth Day” was held on June 21st, 2009. Vegan Congress member Dennis Kucinich, sent a special message for the occasion and Supreme Master Ching Hai was invited as an honored guest. Even though She was not able to attend due to Her busy schedule, She graciously shared Her insights through an inspirational video message, explaining how the four top killers – meat, alcohol, drugs and cigarettes –drastically threaten our health. The Supreme Master also expressed Her beautiful vision for a peaceful world, which deeply touched the hearts of all attendees. |
